C. Ellen Hart
I provide small group instruction in reading, writing, math, and social skills to fill in the missing academic or behavioral building blocks that all students need to be successful in the general classroom setting.
I grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disorders. I have a 2nd degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I've taught in the resource and self contained setting at both the elementary and middle school level in Charleston and Beaufort. I have also taught in the hospital setting at MUSC's Medically Fragile Children's Program and at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health. This is my 2nd year working with the fabulous staff and awesome students at Mitchell.
My husband is originally from Charleston and we have a daughter and twin sons who are all in middle school this year. We love to attend local sporting events and go to the beach.
