Burke High School and Mitchell Elementary Celebrate Read Across America Together

Who: Media outlets are welcomed and encouraged to attend as Burke High School and Mitchell Elementary come together to celebrate reading.

What: Read Across America is a national event that encourages everyone to celebrate reading. This is the 3rd year that the 2 schools have partnered to offer Mitchell students in grades CD-2 the opportunity to attend a reading carnival at the Burke Campus. The students and staff at Burke High set up activities for our students that celebrate and encourage reading. This year the theme will be Fairy Tales. The students will rotate through different stations with their class. Each station is set up and run by the high school students.
